Where dancers grow and friendships glow
Our Story
Jacquee Williams, the founder of TDD, started her dance career as an assistant teacher in the fall of 1967 at a studio opened by her Abadie cousins. Upon relocation in 1968, Marie "Mimi" Abadie assumed ownership, with Jacquee Abadie as the dance instructor, continuing to educate the 35 students that were enrolled at the time. And so began her 50 year journey. Mrs. Jacquee continued to teach dance in Ascension Parish, while touching the hearts of SO many. In 1981, Jodey Bruno joined Mrs. Jacquee's dance classes, where she learned through elementary, middle, and high school the art of dance. At the age of 15, Jodey expanded her love of dance through the class demonstrator program. Upon the completion of high school, she began teaching for Mrs. Jacquee, including assisting with her competitive program for many years. In 2018 Mrs. Jacquee honored Jodey to become the new owner of The Danse Difference as she remained on staff teaching the children she loved so dearly.
